Hello guys,
The other day I scraped my wheels on a high cobblestone curb (I try to get as close as possible to the curb, because I don't like the idea of parking on the street to begin with) Anyway, I made 3 2 inch long gouges on the outer rim of the wheel (the absolute outer rim that sticks out a bit, where the balancing weights are attached) I even scraped off a bit of the weight. These are the 15" 3-spoke "Delta" wheels from the '99 9-3 base. These are painted, right?? The scrapes broke the paint, and slightly gouged the metal. What do you suggest I do?? What are these wheels made of? Is there any risk of rust?? Is this easily repaired (I.e , sanded and repainted?) Can I simply buy the wheel touchup paint and do it myself w/out sanding??
Thanks so much...later,
Alex
