Check Engine Light

Over the weekend I took my car to a car wash. This is only about two miles from where I live and the first time I had started my car that day. It took me about 15 minutes to do the outside of the car. I then decided to spray the engine compartment to clean it from dust and what not with the special low pressure engine cleaner. On the way home, my car kinda sputtered and lost power. It didn't die.
Today, when I pulled into work it did it again, this time the Check engine light kicked in. The reason why I mentioned the info above was to show I didn't have a raging hot engine and then spray cold water on it. I'm a little confused at what I may have done to cause my light to go on. I know I need to take it in and have the code checked, but I'm just a bit shocked.
Anyone have any thoughts on this one? I sure don't. I checked all my connections, my turbo goes up to red on full boost, all fluids appear ok.........
Thanks,
TB
