Yes, the Lisa who was the original poster on the Jag X-type is my wife. We have looked at the 9-5 wagon a couple of times now, and it is a pretty great car. As it turns out, we have 2 9-3s simply because of cost.
The X-type has a certain appeal because it's pretty snazzy, and I feel like we are the dork couple since we both drive 9-3s. Other options on a suitable non 9-3 vehicle would be an Audi A4, VW Passat, or a Volvo S60. Note there are no Japanese cars (ultimately, they are appliances). Tell ya what tho, I would kill for the replacement to the Alfa Romeo 164!
