besides having a knocking and grinding noise, the right front side sounds flat when going over the slightest bumps. flat meaning it soudns as if i dont have a right front tire sometimes. (yes the tire and pressure have both been checked repeatedly). the strut was thought to be the problem initially. the service rep (one of which knows nothing about cars) said that saab forgot to "grease the boot that sits on top of the strut when they built the car". ha. so that was "greased". then on my second trip, the entire strut was replaced. on my third trip, the reps stated that they (and the mechanics) had no idea how to fix the problem. so i was told that the number one saab technical specialist for the entire country, whose name is Corky, was going to be contacted and saab would allow the dealership to replace the suspension, piece by piece until it was fixed. now i await the outcome of my fourth/fifth (im losing track) trip. and by the way, my car has been out of alignment for about 4 months now.
i'm going to the bar for a drink now, in a loaner no less . . . . .
thanks for all your input.
jason.
