that leather will develop a patina and wear from use, which is considered desirable. Whether clear coated or not, it develops a softening of the color and texture.
Leather also has "memory". It will conform to its use over time. It just happens, since its natural. For the best example, check outt he interior of a well-used Rolls/Bentley/Jag (a friend happpens to have an older Rolls.). While the leather looks used and aged, it will be just so soft. Now compare it to the leather in a newer car, preferably another European (better hides): It will feel cold and hard, until broken in. And that means the leathers memory will keep the shape of the driver, until it is used enough by another to reconform.
And remember to feed your leather twice a year with a ph balanced cleaner and conditioner!!!
