It's just that if there's an ass groove (good call Randy) in the seat, I want it to be mine. Homer wouldn't sit in Mr. Burns' groove.
The passenger side seat is frequently occupied as well, yet shows no signs of wear. Sounds like maybe it just happened one day in the hot florida sun, where the PO had the car.
I'm overly obsessive compulsive with this car because it's the first one I've ever bought in new condition. The butt print is honestly the only thing I've been able to find which differentiates it from brand new, so it just kinda irks me :-)
I will try the leather cleaner/conditioner treatment (planning it anyway), and when summer comes and it gets nice and toasty (as it does here in Houston), maybe it will soften up and be more malleable to restoration. If all else fails, and it really annoys me enough, I guess I'll have to buy Viggen seats, or the '02 ones with the "turbo" script across them. How sad that would be.
Thanks for all the suggestions/comments. Ed and David, you are very sick, sick men :-)
Cheers,
'Roo
