I always have trouble answering a question about how to drive a manual. I agree with the guy who said try not to be above 2,000 rpms when you let it out. That's a good one. The other suggestion to do it as quickly as you can is good too. Just do it a lot, practice makes perfect.
Can't speak to the Saabs, but my '92 Saturn SC has 170k+ miles on it's original clutch so I must be doing something right.
