Flex pipe DIY procedure?

My flex pipe ('99 9-3 SE) went - back exhaust is completely separated from the braided can-looking thing. I ordered a replacement 'intermediate pipe' and two sets of clamps from eeuroparts.com and will hopefully receive them shortly.
I plan on doing it myself - it LOOKS straight-forward.
Has anyone done it themselves and have tips? Results of a search indicate it's pretty easy, make sure you order two sets of clamps, and cut the old clamps if the bolts are seized. Anything on top of that?
How about ramps vs. jackstands? Recommended ramps?
I'm going to do this in my unheated Maine garage. So the quicker the procedure the better!
Thanks!
