Were you there when they drove the car?
If no, you may have reason to worry.
Did you file a police report for the damage?
I'd do so to "CYA" in case there is major damage.
Did they get very defensive when confronted?
If so, they may have something to hide.
Did you notice any "burn out" patches of rubber on the property or pulling out of the property?
This may indicate that they've abused cars in the past.
I always take a post-it note and write down the exact mileage and put it on the dashboard, and also put a note in my wallet whenever I have to drop my car off and leave it.
When they see the note I've been confronted with things like "don't you trust us" or "What the hell is this for". I simply explain to them that I caught somebody beating on my car in the past and I do it to avoid the problem in the future.
I worked as a valet when I was in college. I have many friends that worked as valets also. The stories I could tell you about the things that are done to cars when the owner isn't around would blow your mind.
I'm not saying they did anything to damage your car, just asking some questions.
