Sorry, my wheel problem is so slight I wouldn't likely have noticed if Anders (Sweedcar) hadn't commented about it. (I had a misalignment problem that led to a sheared bolt when I tried to install the brace so Anders got to do it. At least I managed to recover and make the car driveable between when I tried to do it and Anders.
Anyway to get back to your question, yes it can be cured by an alignment but make sure you emphasize to whoever is doing the alignment that that is what you are there for or them might ignore it.
If you are brave and careful, you can do it yourself. What you have to do is shorten the tie rod on the right and lengthen the one on the right by exactly equal amounts. Say 1/2 turn of the adjustment to start with. If you are careful it should only take two adjustments. Start by measuring how far off straight ahead the steering wheel is. Adjust 1/2 turn or your best guess. Take it out for a drive and measure again. Do the math to determine how much more (or less) adjustment is required and then make the adjustment.
Good Luck.
Brooks,
