9-3 Fuel Gauge Problem

I been having a problem with my fuel gauge recently after my fuel pump was replaced. The dealer I went to is out of state because I was on the road so I can't take it back to them to check it. Any simple things I can check before I bring it in and they charge me money to look at it?
Thanks,
Matt Saab 9-3 1999
