All depending on what fault code that is tripped but one guess would be if the heating element inside that Nissan O2 sensor is of a different resistance, your car might not like that for the pre heating system of the sensor and the code will say that.
Even 2-3 Ohm of difference in resistance over the two white wires can be enough to trigger a faulty pre heating code.
Some sensors have about 3 Ohm resistances and others have 5 Ohm. It all depends on what the car manufacturer decided to use for pre heating power.
When it comes to O2 sensors it is more of a "one size don't fit at all" syndrome.
