Since this has degenerated into discussion about the pads, I'll throw in my 2 cents. Greenstuff pads have worked well in my son's 1996 900S for the last year or two. I wanted some better stopping power since the rotors are smaller in pre-1997 models. They work well with normal rotors (I didn't change rotors with the pads) and have better stopping power that the pads they replaced. They were the latest version available when they were purchased. I think this was V4.
