I've just read the book and I'm not sure this will work, so please help if you've done any of this. The driver side door lock on my 98 900S 3 dr jammed and will not turn counter clockwise (to open), so, while jiggling it around, trying to get it unstuck, I turned it far clockwise and removed the key. Only then did I remember reading the owners manual back in 1998 that described this position to use if you wanted to lock someone into your car! So now, the key will not turn in either direction, and, because of this feature, the passenger side won't unlock either, nor will the manual buttons release when I climb through the hatch to reach them. I read about removing the door lock by removing the interior door panel and then disconnecting the mechanism, but they describe unbolting the locking unit from where the door latch is, and I'm not sure that I'm going to be unlocked at that point (in order to get to the bolts). While I'm at it, does anyone know if a locksmith could do this from the outside?
