Thanks for your input! Well, according to the instructions on the bottle, it says to add to the EXISTING oil and then let it run idle for 5 minute before draining out. My concern is wouldn't it overflow the crankcase and possibly drown the engine?
Your idea of draining the oil out and letting it sit for two days alone sounds like a better idea, to be honest with you. I don't believe in additives, so the idea of adding anything but oil into the crankcase is like suicide to me...but the engine doesn't run quite like it used to, and the oil doesn't have that honey-like amber color to it, even right after an oil change. That's why I considered doing this.
Your questions are EXCELLENT, and I've thought about how much of that motor flush fluid remains inside AFTER the flush. Maybe if I were to use this stuff, I should fill up with oil, let it run for a few minutes, and then just drain it out to ensure that as much of that cleaner is taken out BEFORE I go around driving?
Any thoughts, anyone?
