Hi, I'm new to this site. I had a horrible day driving. First the right site front light went out (displayed: "Front light failure"). I'm not sure when the CEL came on, but I had a long day of driving and decided to use the cruise control. Not longer after engaging it, the traffic slowed, so I tapped it control a few times to lower the speed and when I looked at the dash board (to check speed), I then saw the CEL. The car felt ok at the time, but I pulled off at the next opportunity, turned the car off, checked oil (was a bit low, so I added about 3/4L, but I’m pretty sure that’s not it since I just changed it myself not long ago). Turned the car back on and the CEL remained. I was still a couple hours from home, so had to drive it and it felt ok for the most part, but maybe not the same acceleration I’m use to (could just be physiological, but I can’t be sure since I did not want to push it too hard with the CEL on). The thing is the cruise control will NOT engage anymore. Any ideas before I take it to a dealer (first time needing service and the dealer is closer than the other places recommended by this site)? Thanks in advance!
