AS IMS had mentioned, you need to find out what codes tripped the CEL. Once you have that, you can reset the CEL by pulling the ECU fuse or disconnecting the battery (this will erase all codes). If you still do not have cruise, then you will also have to reset the throttle body as you will be in 'limp home mode'....check for threads on this site and others on how to do that.
I'd also check your PCV lines namely the small one that runs along the valve cover with the small white one way valve and the big one that runs from the catchcan to the sump. You should also ensure that you have the latest PCV update #6.
