Hey Jim! thanks for writing back. Okay, yes you are right I may be a little over-sensitive as I am working on it myself, but I really do feel a difference. As far as when the clutch is engaging, it is hard to tell if there is in fact a difference. The main thing is how *hard* I have to push the pedal. It seems before, there was less "slack" if I can call it that. So, what I mean is when I push it with my foot, there is more distance I need to push it until it gets "hard" whereas before it was "harder" closer to the rest point (UP) of the pedal. It's not huge, but I notice it...and well, I assume it's not right.
When I did the bleed last time, the valve fully came off, so air got in there, then I bled fluid in. When I got in my car, the pedal was close to the floor, but as I pumped it came back up. I seriously think that is the main problem. I think the pedal needs to be stopped from going DOWN...as you want the rest point to be UP, which is what I will do this time, and hope for the best.
My concern was possibly having gotten air in the slave, and after some research and finding out it is in the transmission, I thought I was screwed. Don't suspect that should be an issue though, at least I hope.
I did notice going into first and second a tiny bit notchy, perhaps. Anyways, I will do it again and report back.
I will:
-put something under the clutch to keep it up
-open the valve slightly
-attach a tube with a syringe filled with brake fluid
-inject fluid at a very slow rate until I see it in the reservoir
-close the valve, and then see how the pedal feels, and drive the car.
I will be doing a transmission flush very soon, yes, not now though. For all I know the notchy shifting is a result of the oil in there, and my being over-sensitive!
