There should be a sticker in the engine compartment, possibly on top of the crossmember that goes across the top of the radiator, that shows the spark plug gap range. That's where it is on my '97. I agree with Ron that you want it at the low end of the range. The high end should be for acceptable wear, not where you want it to start out at.
