Well, it's not so much a groove as much as it is a bevel on the outer edger of the disc. So, if you can picture the outer face of the rotor slightly on an angle. It would not really be feasible as the inner face would have to be ground down to match that of the outer edge.
Kind of hard to explain without a picture. From the side, would look something like:

I usually like to stick with genuine saab parts. I don't mind the dust they create, as obviously they work well and to get less dust there is always a trade off.
You're content with the ceramic pads, in comparison at least?
