Flashy directional signal Posted by juanm [Email] (#201) [Profile/Gallery] (more from juanm) on Sun, 15 Aug 2010 16:14:28 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I know that generally when a turn signal dashboard indicator flashes very quickly, it usually means that one of your turn signal bulbs needs replacement. That is not the case with our 1996 Saab 900SE Turbo - 5 door.
The front, back and side marker turn signal lights on the driver's side flash very quickly when turned on. The dash indicator light also flashes very quickly in sync with the exterior lights.
Many times it will start out at the correct rate and then (almost immediately) it increases to the rapid rate.
I replaced the front and back bulbs today on the right side and no change.
No problem with the passenger side directional light flashing.
If I put the emergency flashers on they blink at the normal rate.
So what is the issue here??
The switch on the steering column? A relay? (I had replaced the orange relay a month or so ago (it was used though).
???
Thanks.
