Anders:
I tightened all clamps, and it APPEARED that the leak was fixed. Drove car until today, when I filled up the tank at Costco (went from 3/4 to a little less than 1/2 tank, so I decided to fill up early on Friday). Drove off, started smelling gas about 2 minutes later (not bad, but definitely gas).
Got the car home and parked. Definite leak. Bought a new clamp from OReilly's (regular style), and placed on where the old clamp was and tightened. tighted old clamp behind it. Still leaks, but at lesser rate.
Going to get a better clamp from NAPA tomorrow and try again.
Hose looks ok. Is there anything on top of the tank that could leak down at the back of the tank where the hose is connected? It SEEMS that the leak is from the clamp at the hose-tank junction. Maybe I don't have it tight enough, but I'm afraid of tightening too much more or I might break the tank!
Thoughts?
THANKS in advace
