It is actually very easy to replace the brake, reverse lights, and turn signal lamps. I am pretty sure that the owner’s manual has instructions. But nevertheless, the first thing is to find out what side the bad bulb is on.
Is the right or left side? Then just open the hatch and look in the hatch are at that side.
You will see a square cut-out of carpet, kind of like a flap or door.
Use key or a small screw driver to pull open the carpet flap.
Behind that is a plastic panel. A flashlight will help to see the release catches, the release catches on the sides of the plastic lamp holder panel. Just release the plastic catches and remove the plastic lamp holder panel.
The brake lamp is a #7528 (aka ECE P21/5W) lamp and is labeled in the holder as "brake". Push down and twist to remove the lamp, then install the new lamp.
Replace the plastic bulb panel and the carpet flap.
All done.
It is good practice to replace burned out lamps in pairs. That is, if the right side brake light fails, replace the left side as well. The theory is that if one side fails, the other side will probably fail soon as well. This probably doesn't apply to turn signal lamps because you may make twice as many right turns as left, or vice versa.
