I have a 2003 9.3 SE Conv. Auto.
My trans. fault lt. comes on on the dash and tranny goes to limb mode. I called the Saab dealership near m,y home and tried to purchase the imput and output sensors. Parts Dept says they are on backorder and not sure when they will be available. But,, I have a 99 Saab ( Parts car ) and he told me that it only has one sensor but it is the same part # . This car always shifted fine so he said to try changing one of the sensors. I did this and it seemed OK,light went out.that evening light came back on. I took the original sensor and changed the second. As soon as I started the car, the light went out and it ran fine for a couple of days. Now its back on. It will on any given time,go out,,,and the next time you start it it may be on.. If you shut the engine off for anywhere from 5 to 10 min. the car will shift ok for 10 to 15 min. then go into limb mode. Any Ides????
