It all depends how it was maintained and what has already been replaced. I bought an 01 Viggen 7 years ago with 165K and had to do nothing to it for a long time( the previous owner had fixed everything). ( Still have the car). I bought an 02 Viggen Vert with 45K approx 2 years ago. One would think at 45K there would be nothing to fix. Fortunately the DI was already replaced under recall. The CPS failed and left me stranded within 2 months. The top would not go up on the way home from purchase ( inexpensive micro switch adjustment). And then it developed a very frustrating cold start problem 3 months after I bought it. You never know. Sometimes you find a car that has had all the right items replaced (DI, clutch, CPS, fuel pump, control and stanchion arms), etc. Sometimes you don't. That's why service and repair records are always key. And it depends on the price. I just bought a 2004 Audi Allroad. Fortunately I know a lot about Audi's and cars in general, I was able to talk the price down enough to more than cover the repair costs (done myself). You always have to assume there is something wrong with any used car and negotiate accordingly.
