In my estimation on reliability, the 9-3OG wins hands down. My daughter drives a '99SE and my son has the '03 SS(1st year of production). I bypassed the EVAP valve on the SE and that car runs like a top with 167K on it. The SS has 106K and has been one problem after another: HID Headlight ballast and bulbs, crank position sensor, steering column lock module, mystery limp mode on turbo that no one can pinpoint(thank God car is a 5 speed and not auto), lousy gearbox linkage causing difficult shifting when car warms up, and leaking a ton of oil through oil level switch on the pan(a horrble design. Black silicone is difficult to get around entire switch because of angles and exhust). I would buy an OG again and would not buy an overly GM'd out NG again. JMO
