Leaking head gasket overpressurized my cooling system? Posted by ryan [Email] (#2222) [Profile/Gallery] (more from ryan) on Thu, 31 Jul 2014 08:32:54 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Granted the hose was 12 years old, but I blew a heater hose on my Viggen the other day directly after a WOT 2nd gear pull. I have replaced the hose, and am replacing all the other hoses too, since they are overdue. However, my parents recently went through a fiasco on their 9-5 with three blown heater mixing valves and a blown radiator; the shop FINALLY diagnosed it as having a leaking head gasket which was overpressuring their system and causing all the failures. It seems feasible I guess, so I'm wondering if anyone thinks this could be a possibility in my situation.
Thanks!
