You definitely need to find a good Saab mech, even if it means taking a drive somewhere.
As Anders said, fixing your ignition switch might solve a lot of your issues. It's not a bad job to do if you're a bit mechanically inclined and the part isn't super expensive (~$90 at Eeuroparts). Can you be a little more specific as to what's going on with your electronics?
Saab Parts is still a viable business and owns all of the "proprietary stuff". All parts are still available and Saab Service Centers and indy mechanics that choose to work on Saabs still have access to everything they need to repair your car.
