I recommend replacing the oil pressure switch. I understand it is in the block on the back side possibly néar or under the starter. I had a sensor like this go out on the diesel on my sailboat as I was motoring out the channel for a weekend at the islands last summer. Needless to say I cut that trip short. Turned out it was the oil pressure sensor. New sensor and no more oil light or warning alarm screeming at me. This could be sludge in the sensor or in the pan pickup or both.
