Help with P0730 Trans Code 2002 09-3 w/ 4-Speed Auto

I was getting the P0722 and P0730 codes and changed the fluid which seems to have helped the transmission significantly. The car has 92,000 miles and the old fluid was dark brown but did not smell burnt. There was ne debris in the transmission pan. Now the car is only throwing the P0730 code with no P0722 (output speed sensor).
The transmission seems to act and shift normally with no slipping. In fact the drivability appear the same before and after the check engine and trans lights illuminate on the dash.
Is it possible for the speed sensor to still be bad with no code for it being thrown?
Also, the gear selector sometimes has to be 'wiggled' in the Park position for the car to turn over. It always turns over in Neutral. Also, the gear selector will sometimes show that it is in reverse on the dashboard indicator even though it has been placed in park. Is this a linkage adjustment issue or does it sound more serious? Also, can the linkage issue affect the P0730 code?
Thanks in advance for any replies.
