hi, are you saying the alternator light USED to go out and now waits until 1500 RPM? then it's a bad alternator or voltage regulator? (not that familiar w/ the system never had to replace any of it yet ) the system seems to not be happy w/ the alt output eh? where did you get that alternator ? is it OEM? I have always taken a used (or new !) alternator, I got mail order or from a junkyard ,( breakers) to like local pep boys or auto zone they'll test them for free Before you install it!put it on a test mule double ck it's good! saved my self a LOT of grief! hate R&R'ing Bad "new" parts! sorry for the lecture this is kinda like closing the proverbial barn door after the horses escaped! well....................................... next time
