I tried to post this yesterday, but the BB was down. :(
Thanks for the detailed response!
If you check the Abbott web site, you will see that now the kits are available for both rack styles, and both are single ended with the brace bars.
Perhaps the single ended kits are no better than the double ended kits were, the ease of installation, or possibility there of, being the objective of the single ended design.
I should have my replacement rack brace kit tomorrow from Abbott America. I find that they are really treating me right and going the extra mile to get the replacement parts to me. :o)
So you are stating that the original rubber bushings were masking wheel defects and balacing issues. That makes sense. The up and dowm component of imbalace or wheel distortion would not be afffected. But the other component of imbalace that creates a rotating couple, would have been dampened by the old bushings, and would then now come through the steering. A bent wheel would definately create this vibration mode. Always a price to pay! Just like high end sterio gear. Some times in sterio you get a component that is more revealing, and you become disatisfied with upstream problems that you can then hear. Then you need a new CD player!
