Try adjusting it manually yourself. If the cable was replaced, I *think* it's with a slightly more robust cable than the original bailing-twine cable. Up close the firewall on the driver's side you should see where you can grab hold of it and give it a few clicks. It's supposed to be self-adjusting, but sometimes it needs a little help.
