Shudder/Engine Mounts

Several months ago, I purchased a 1995 900SET convertible with 74,000 miles. One major problem I have with the car is a shuddering in first gear (manual tranny). A little research brought me to the conclusion that I had bad motor mounts (vibration dampeners).
I ordered a left front engine (tranny) mount from eEuroparts, and after installation the shuddering was reduced somewhat, but not entirely. I then ordered and installed the rear (center) mount from eEuroparts with the same results. I have been told by my local dealer that the right front mount "never" fails so I haven't replaced that one (at least not yet).
I noticed when replacing the left front mount that the replacement from eEuroparts was slightly different (visually) from the original one I removed. I have a Saab Electronic Parts Catalog (EPC) and from that, see that there are many different part numbers availible, depending on the year and other criteria. This applies to all three mounts. I'm a little confused as how eEuroparts can offer a "universal" replacement part number for a NG900 when Saab lists many different numbers.
I guess my main question is... what should my next step be to totally eliminate the shudder. This should not be rocket science, though it seems to be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
