This is patently false, and I don't know why you insist on pressing the point when it is clear you don't know what you are talking about. I have been trained on torque wrench repair, and I can assure you that something indeed can be done. I've calibrated thousands of them. There are other components in the wrench that compenstate for differences in the spring. There are also torque wrenches that don't even rely on the load spring you are referring to.
Yes, you can tell that you've applied more torque, because you can feel the movement. But without any reference, can you say when you've reached a specific torque setting? No, you can't. Try to torque something to 70ft-lb with just a straight bar. If you're within 15%, it would be shear luck. Then try to do the same a day later. Will there be consistency from the day before? No, there won't. Humans are subject to uncontrollable factors like fatigue, mood, etc which will affect your perception of how much torque you are applying.

With a torque wrench you DO know where you are. That is the entire point of using one.
