I just donated my 86 900 to the Kidney Foundation. It had 235K on it and would have been worth fixing (one more time) I suppose, but the problem I was running into wasn't major repairs but a more and more frequent search for the green electrical connection or bad thermo sensor or whatever, requiring more and more time, which of course could be spent tweeking the performance of the other newer car. I had an attack of melancholy watching it leave (unlike the Jeep pick-up it replaced which I felt like throwing stones at when it left) and thinking back on it, the perfect time to bale out would have been about 210K as most the work that I did on it and most of what I've learned about car repair was in the last 2 or 3 years.
