Installing Open Air intake

Since I was "Saabless" for a month (I dislike Insurance Companys) and caught up with work I have not been around for a while. Sorry about that.
That being said...
I just ordered an Open Air Intake from Genuine Saab. While it does not look very hard to install does anyone have any "got yous". During the install?
Also my Viggen is currently at 56k, I will not hit 60k until Feb/March (1k a month is my avg.) should I go ahead and have a 60k mile service/look over done before I install it? Since the car does not get driven that much?
Just to make sure no oil sludge/vacuum leaks etc are going on before I install it?
