VOB or International Saab for service?

Hello! I was wondering if someone could comment on using VOB in Rockville or International Saab in Falls Church for factory scheduled service. Since scheduled maintenance is included for 2003 9-3SS going to an independent mechanic (a preferred option) will wait until after the warranty expires. I had my 30-day inspection at VOB - it went OK, but I wish I had better access to a mechanic while he was looking over the car. I'm still not sure what is it they looked at. On the other hand, the only problem that surfaced on a car - a faulty mirror switch - has been fixed quickly at VOB (switch replaced). Also, can you comment whether one shop or the other is better about performing requested Tech II changes? I.e. will they charge for something simple, such as locks reprogramming, etc.? Thanks in advance for the info!
