I use peanut oil, not peanut butter, especially on the
lower plastic moldings which get awfully dirty. Only occasionally
do I need to use it on a spot on the other black areas as the polish/wax
I use comes off w/o staining and/or comes off w/Mothers Back to Black.
I've had my bottle of peanut oil since I bought the car in '99
... that's how rarely I use it... but I suspect it's a little easier
as it soaks into a rag like....well.....oil.
For those dark grey plastic sills to look as black as I
can get 'em, nothing works as a cleaner as well as peanut oil and
as a follow-up darkener like a coat of Mothers.
Be prepared just to throw the peanut oil rag away after you do this.
