What you are seeing is the solvents in the wax being absorbed into the oxidized layer of paint just after application. The solvents evaporate after awhile or you can make them disappear using water or a quick detailer (which is what you've done).
Unfortunately your paint will show this effect more than others because its red, oxidized, and not clearcoated. Red paint oxidizes quicker than any other color due to its pigments. Changing waxes really won't do much since most all contain some petroleum distillates and that's what is creating the effect.
Having a pro detailer machine-polish your car will remove the layer of oxidation and temporarily stop this effect but once a paint job begins to dry out, it's impossible to prevent it from happening. I have a friend who details his boss's late 80's Porsche 944 in Guards Red and the same thing happens. The paint looks awesome right after a detail but oxidizes quickly and looks bad after 2-3 months. All the detailing is doing is keeping the paint job on life support. It's just the combo of red paint + no clearcoat + aging.
Sorry for the bad news. I hope this info helps you.
