Hi JT. Well, I just last year had my '93 900TC redone with excellent results! I did lay out some serious $$$$, but I was none-the-less able to save some dollars in a couple of areas.
There is ALOT of trim on the 900 if you take a look, particularly on the later convertibles with the wrap around spoiler. I elected to replace most of the trim with OEM from a Saabnet advertiser who sells at 20% off list. Much of the trim, e.g. door mouldings, wheel lip mouldings etc is unusable once it's removed anyway. I laid out $$$$ just for this stuff. (example: $885 for the trunk spoiler...try to re-use this on yours!) Two of the spoiler pieces weren't even available anymore from Saab NA.
Additionally, I didn't have the doorjambs resprayed as they were fine. The particular shop I used did a wonderful job blending so you can't even tell!
I have posted pictures the shop took while doing the job...take a look!
Let me know if you have any more questions!
HTH
