LG is an old skool sealant - an aminofunctional siloxane in a pretty strong solvent base with light abrasives. It was developed at about the same time as products like NuFinish, Finish First, Meguiars #20, Klasse, Astro Shield, etc. It worked well on 60s and 70s era single stage enamel paint jobs which oxidized rather quickly and needed somewhat aggressive cleaners to revive the paint's looks.
With todays thin clearcoats that usually don't need aggressive cleaning, LG has been eclipsed by newer, milder products like the products Slaab mentioned. This doesn't mean LG is a bad product, just that it's been overtaken by new technology. There are still lots of folks who use and love LG but if you're in the market for a new wax, you might want to try the current crop of high tech synthetic products like Meguiar's NXT and Mothers FX Synwax.
