These seem like a couple of stupid questions, but I can't find answers.
I've spent all of this time getting the paint to shine like it's wet. At the end of a normal, sunny day, I can just wipe down the car with a microfiber cloth, but what do I do at the end of a not-so-sunny day, or if I've been forced to drive through stuff that gets the car more than just a little dusty? I get home and there's wet dirt, sand and other crud along the bottom panels (especially behind the wheels). Just wiping it off will turn my towel into sandpaper, right?
Short of washing the car again, what can I do to shine things up and get that stuff off without scratching the finish?
Also, what should I use to wash the car in between detailings, so i don't strip off all of my hand-rubbed hard work?
Thanks.
