shiney rub marks on convertible top - removal?

06 9-3 Aero. Bought used Nov 08. Blue top. I fold and unfold a lot, I like the top down. It has lots of shiney rub marks, like the proverbial used blue suit. I only wash it, no special treatment. So, how can I get it back to the "new" look? Is there anything I can do to prevent the marks? Is the magic Ragg Top the stuff to salvation?
Thanks.
