Pricing depends on the local market and, of course, the difficulty of the job. I base my prices on $30/hour. A full interior & exterior job will take me about 8 hours. But usually the exteriors take more time.
I think the product issue can be a sensitive one. Car detailing is more art than science. It's a subject you should discuss in advance. One concern I'd have with a customer wanting me to use his products is I may not have personal experience with them and may not be able to get the results the customer expected. Also I'd be concerned that a customer had bought into the hype of a certain brand without really knowing what it is or how it worked. Not every detailer is well educated on all the different brands and products out there. Most have a core inventory they use because they know how it works and can count on the results.
I did a detail recently where the customer wanted me to use his wax. It was a product I knew well and owned. I didn't offer a discount as I felt this was his decision although I did agree to it.
