You say that Saab is selling cars at a loss. Well do you think that Saab is selling the cars to the dealers at a loss to them. I highly doubt it. The ones taking on the loss are the dealers. The only thing this will do is sink the small dealers, who don't have the volume sales that some of the bigger dealers do. I can't see the company as a whole losing out. The small dealers yes but not Saab altogether. Did you really get a feeling of lack of quality when you shut the door on the 9-3SS? I have driven one, and I think I recall hearing that solid thunk sound just like on the 9-5. Everyone is getting worked up about the new 9-2 just like they do about the 9-3SS not being a hatch, as they did with the 9-5 not being a hatch. Amazingly Saab has been doing just about the best sales volume they have ever had. You have to admit that all-wheel drive is a vital addition to the line-up no matter the interation. Here is another thing. More cars in the line-up will almost invariable mean more sales volume. What one person doesn't like, there will be many others out there that will like it. I can only see good things providing Saab keeps the quality of the new models on par with the 9-5 and 9-3SS don't forget the 9-3 convertible comes out this fall. That will be a huge introduction to the Saab line-up. Just my thoughts on the matter.
