Pacifica is a nice new concept, space of a minivan without the tall, obnoxious SUV-thing.
Otherwise, if you want to go the SUV route, and it doesn't sound like you're going off-roading, good options might be
Volvo XC-90 (S80-based)
Toyota Highlander (Camry-based)
Honda Pilot / Acura MDX (Odyssey-based)
all of which are car-based.
Body on frame:
Ford Explorer / Lincoln Aviator / Mercury Montaineer
Trailblazer EXT / Envoy XL / Ascender
4Runner/GX470
The Explorer is the only 7-passenger offered with a manual tranny. The Aviator is supposed to be fast with a tight suspension. The GM family have to have the stretch to accomodate >5 pax, and I find the stretched look ugly. The Toyotas are designed to go offroad.
On the smaller side, the Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable wagons offer three-row seating, but those cars fail the "next to the Saab in the garage" test. And the Mercedes E wagon also has the third row, but its base price is $50k (far too much to pay for a car, in my opinion <g>).
Finally, you could just get another minivan.
Did I leave anything out? Oh yeah, the large SUVs: Tahoe/Yukon, Expedition, Durango, Montero, Sequoia.
