Since you have the 9-5 for 'real driving', a Chrysler product mini-van.
I have a Dodge Grand Caravan Sport. For haulin kids, dogs, honey-do materials it is tough to beat. Granted it doesn't drive like my 900SET, but it keeps the dogs off my leather seats. We have done several road trips (Portland to Disneyland and Tahoe)-they really aren't bad on the highway, decent MPG considering all the junk they can haul.
Hint - when hauling the under 16 set - buy a 13" TV/VHS combo unit (cheaper than a dinky DVD) and several sets of headphones - set it between the front seats and viola! - happy motoring with minimal "are we there yet?"
