Well, I don't stop at those places to get coffee. A good cup of coffee costs $1.50 on the way to work. I either make coffee before work, or make coffee at work. Saves a lot of money. Two people would be $3.00 of coffee. I make a whole pot, share it with my wife, and dump the remaining half of it down the drain almost every day for less than $1. Sometimes, instead of dumping it, I ice it for an evening tasty drink.
If I make coffee at work, $1 worth of fresh locally roasted beans will provide 5-6 people with coffee.
I have stopped putting milk/cream in the coffee. When I did, I didn't measure it. I just instinctively knew how much to dump in. Now, I either put a little spoon of sugar in, or drink it black. I can enjoy coffee prepared with/without sugar and cream.
