Folks will C900's will tell you that those cars run forever on dyno oil. But things have changed. The top compression rings are now closer to the piston top and run hotter. Thats the hot spot, not the turbo. Oil there can coke and break down. To get sludge, it would seem that oil changes need to be neglected.
Your engine will probably run quieter and smoother on a xW40 oil compared to a xW30. Mobil 1 0W40 or M1 truck and SUV 5W40 would be great choices at $4.77/USquart at Walmart. Or Shell Rotella Synthetic group III 5W40 at $12.88/USgallon.
